The NFL has announced offseason program workout dates for each club, with the Eagles’ rookie minicamp and OTA workouts below. The Eagles, along with Green Bay and Washington, will be the first teams to hold their rookie program:
- Rookie minicamp: May 6-7
- OTA offseason workouts: May 31, June 2-3, June 6-8
Philadelphia is just one of two teams — the other being Cincinnati — that will not be holding a mandatory minicamp, which must occur during “phase three” of the offseason program.
Among the most notable news in regards to the rookie minicamp is that Howie Roseman expects third-round linebacker Nakobe Dean — who fell swiftly during the NFL Draft due to injury concerns — to be ready to play this weekend.
Nakobe Dean confirmed he'll be on the field next week at rookie minicamp.

Definitely an encouraging development for a guy some feared would have to redshirt his rookie season. All in all, 18 players will be in attendance — the seven players drafted, along with 11 UDFAs. Certainly an opportune time for fringe-players to begin making a noticeable impact.
While the Eagles still have a number of open roster spots, it’s unlikely they add another UDFA given the close proximity of the rookie minicamp. Instead, they’ll probably hold onto those spots for cut veterans (perhaps James Bradberry or Landon Collins?) or a trade in the coming weeks.
