DeVonta Smith didn’t have the insane, record-breaking rookie seasons like Ja’Marr Chase or Jaylen Waddle, but he was still extremely solid for the Birds. Although his points per game last season don’t do him any justice while playing in a run-heavy offensive attack, he put up good fantasy numbers.
However, from Week 7 onward, Smith never saw more than six targets in any game. What does all this mean for the DeVonta Smith fantasy ADP this season?
DeVonta Smith Fantasy Ranking
Smith is currently the 40th-ranked wide receiver according to many ADP numbers. Now that we’re going into the 2022-2023 season will Smith’s targets per game increase? Should his ranking increase as well?
Maybe some, but we don’t think either will increase substantially because of the addition of AJ Brown to this new and improved Eagles roster.
DeVonta Smith Fantasy Value – Average Draft Position (ADP)
After a pretty good rookie season that saw Smith catch 64 of his 104 targets for 916 yards and five touchdowns, Smith is poised for more opportunities in 2022. The Eagles want to throw the ball more than they did in 2021, but Smith will have to share targets with Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert. The uptick in passing volume should result in additional production for the second-year WR.
