Eagles vs Commanders Game Recap

The Eagles smashed Washington with a flawless defensive performance, sacking Wentz nine times and having 17 quarterback hits. Philadelphia had 16 pressures in the win to go with six hurries, and dominated Washington’s offensive line throughout the afternoon.

The only points the Eagles defense allowed were late in the fourth quarter and allowed just one catch of 20-plus yards.

DeVonta Smith had a career game – (so far) – with eight catches for 169 yards and one TD.

EAGLES VS COMMANDERS HALFTIME RECAP

Eagles look like they came out firing on all cylinders after a few failed drives. However, the Commanders offensive line can’t seem to stop the Eagles front four and their defense has no answer for the Eagles passing game.

This has been a one-sided game so far with the Eagles leading 24 to nothing. It could be worse as the Eagles went for a 4th and goal and didn’t get it earlier in the half. The Commanders need to find a way to protect Wentz, or it will be more of the same in the 2nd half.

The Eagles just need to keep doing what they’re doing and not let their foot off the gas as they did in week one vs the Lions.

  • Jalen Hurts: 273 Yards 3 Touchdowns
  • Carson Wentz: 24 Yards 0 Touchdowns (Sacked 6 times, 1 fumble lost)
