Philadelphia’s RT Lane Johnson leaves Eagles-Cowboys game with injury

Posted on October 17, 2022

Week 6 of Sunday Night Football is underway. The undefeated Philadelphia Eagles are hosting the Dallas Cowboys tonight as they hope to crush quarterback Cooper Rush’s winning streak.

Just before halftime, Philadelphia’s offensive tackle Lane Johnson went down. The Pro Bowler was seen heading to the medical tent before making his way to the locker room. He has since been ruled out for the remainder of the game, with a concussion.

Johnson has been with the Eagles over the last ten seasons. As part of the No. 1 ranked offensive line in the league, Johnson ranks first among all NFL tackles in knockdown percentage (0.2%) since 2021. He’s allowed zero sacks, and just one quarterback hit in 620 pass-blocking snaps, leading all tackles with a 87.9 pass-blocking grade this season.

Filling in for Johnson will be Jack Driscoll. Driscoll has filled in over the last few weeks on the O-line after the Eagles temporarily lost players to injuries.

At the time Johnson was injured, Philadelphia was leading 20-0.
