Posted on December 25, 2021

On Wednesday, the NFL announced their 2022 Pro Bowl selections. For the Philadelphia Eagles — center Jason Kelce and cornerback Darius Slay.

This is Kelce’s third consecutive Pro Bowl selection; fifth overall. No other Eagles’ center has been named to more Pro Bowls than Jason Kelce. The 34-year-old has started in 119 consecutive games and was selected as Philadelphia’s nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year award this season.

Kelce has ranked first among other centers from 2017-2019, ranking second this year. He led all NFC centers in Pro Bowl fan votes. He is listed as a starter for the game.

Another deserving player is cornerback Darius Slay who has had a tremendous season. For the fourth time in his career, Slay is the first Eagles cornerback to be selected to the Pro Bowl since Asante Samuel in 2010. His three previous appearances were with the Detroit Lions from 2017-2019.

This year, Slay has had three interceptions and three touchdowns. He is the first Eagles to score three times defensively in four games.

Jalen Hurts, Dallas Goedert, Javon Hargrave, Shaun Bradley, Josh Sweat, and Jake Elliott have all been named Pro Bowl alternatives.

The 2022 Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, February 6 at Allegiant Stadium in Last Vegas. Kickoff is at 3 PM ET.
