Vance Joseph, who reportedly interviewed twice this week with the Eagles for their vacant defensive coordinator job, is going to the Broncos for the same job, a source told The Athletic.
Joseph was Denver’s head coach in 2017-18. He spent the last four seasons as the Cardinals’ defensive coordinator.
Joseph reportedly interviewed twice this week with the Eagles. Former Wisconsin interim head coach Jim Leonhard interviewed with the Eagles but ESPN reported that he and the team agreed to not move forward.
The Eagles’ other candidates include:
- Eagles defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson
- Rams defensive backs coach and pass coordinator Chris Shula, grandson of Don Shula
- Seahawks assistant HC Sean Desai
- Michigan defensive coordinator Jesse Minter
- Georgia co-defensive coordinator/inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann
EAGLES LOSE ANOTHER COACH
The Eagles lost their fourth assistant coach since the Super Bowl. Joe Kasper, the defensive quality control assistant the past two years, has been hired as the Dolphins’ safeties coach, according to an NFL Network report.
Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon (head coach, Cardinals), linebackers coach Nick Rallis (defensive coordinator, Cardinals) and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen (head coach, Colts) have left the Eagles in the last nine days.
