Dallas Goedert injured, out for remainder of game against Broncos

The Philadelphia Eagles are in Denver, Colorado today, taking on their Week 10 contender, the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, they have already lost one of their top playmakers. Tight end Dallas Goedert has been ruled out for the remainder of the game after sustaining a head injury.

The injury occurred in the first quarter at the end of a 24-yard play. Goedert and Denver’s safety Justin Simmons collided heads. It then appears that Goedert’s head hit the ground. The shot by Simmons should have been illegal, but no penalty was called.

Goedert was slow to get up, making his way to the medical tent and then to the locker room.

After the Eagles traded Zach Ertz to the Arizona Cardinals, Goedert became Philadelphia’s leading tight end. With very few playmakers this season, Goedert was a key piece to the Eagles’ offense. The team now has Jack Stoll and Tyree Jackson.
