Just days after acquiring him from the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for former beloved receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, the Eagles have announced they’ve traded defensive back Ugo Amadi to the Tennessee Titans:

Instead of straight-up compensation, the Eagles will be swapping their 2024 seventh-round pick for the Titans’ 2024 sixth-round pick.
While Amadi played often and well enough in Sunday’s preseason game against the Cleveland Browns, playing 27 defensive snaps, he was never likely going to make the roster.
Thus, it makes sense for the team to try and gain any type of compensation they can, even if it’s a swap. All in all, a very solid move, especially when considering where this whole thing started from.
It’s also nice to see Howie Roseman being busy with trades. While the end of preseason isn’t exactly a time for big splashes, Roseman has shown he’s not afraid to make one (see Sam Bradford trade in 2016). With some big names possibly on the market, perhaps Roseman’s repeated activity isn’t anything to scoff at.
The Eagles also technically have 79 players on their roster, which means they get a head start on the chopping block before next Tuesday’s 53-man deadline.
